Doo'ing it for No-one

I have a blog, and its kind of awkward. Not the blog itself, but the experience of blogging. Well perhaps the blog is awkward to others, but it's an unintentional awkwardness.

So many of my friends are bloggers. They are clever, funny,  witty and informative. I thought it right to do the same. Well its just the blogging bit that's the same, I am sure there is not much wit or information being passed. For the clever bit, no chance!! That leaves funny...hmmmm it could leave a funny taste of 'sick' in your mouth.

Regardless of what it becomes, its a great way to express myself to all or no-one. Is anyone there?..................... *silence

Ok, so now I am officially writing for no-one, well at least I think its no-one. Hang on, I will check. Um excuse me, who's there?.........*silence

Perhaps I have it all wrong, there could be somebody reading this, but really I put it up for no-one and for anybody. Is somebody there?.....................*silence

Is anybody there?......................*silence

Is it no-one? ..................*yes (meekly)

Oh hello

*hi (still meek)

Who's this?

*no-one

Well just as I suspected!!

  4. Waving back at you. I remember that weird feeling of writing and knowing that most likely no-one was going to ever read it, and yet writing as though I was talking to an actual someone.

    1. Yo Emily!! Yes I have been at it for a few years, but in the last 12 months I only posted every second month. I was pregnant and just couldn't be bothered being funny. Then in the first 6 months after I had the baby, I struggled to find 5 minutes to my self. I'm forcing myself to make some time. So if he lays around in dirty nappies for hours.....

      I love your blog too!!

  14. After a little time all those no ones add up, huh? It's fab to look back at the first post to see how far we've come. I'm going to go and have a poodle around your blog and see what happened in between then and now. I reckon you've given plenty of sageridulousfabulous advice to all the heathens out there with no idea how to behave.
    Bravo.

    1. You are right Mrs Holsby. They do add up. I love reading some of my old posts, because they are like a diary.
I hope you had a good poodle around. Sorry I was out or I would've offered you a tea or a cocktail to enjoy while you poodle.

  15. Haha so true, that feeling of writing in the beginning to nobody. But, then again, I nearly soiled myself when someone did actually comment on my posts - who knew anyone actually would? BTW, love your header, gorgeous and very ladylike!

    1. Thanks Kirsty. I put alot of work into that header. It took almost a year, because I kept getting interrupted with small things like getting married, then having a baby. I finally managed my blog makeover about a month ago. So much better then the first one.

That feeling of writing in the beginning is a weird feeling. It almost felt like I'd done something naughty and was waiting for the punishment. I couldn't read the first comment quick enough!!

  16. Write as a gift.
Write so that what you create is a gift for someone.
It doesn't matter if they like it, it doesn't even matter if they don't ever read it.
But the sheer fact you created something, with someone in mind, makes it special.
And there's nothing wrong with creating a gift for yourself.

    Just a thought
