The Fresh Prince of Cambridge

I am a Royalist and admit I cried when I watched The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Catherine, introduce The Fresh Prince of Cambridge to the world. They looked so relaxed, and had such a beautiful glow. You could see their love for each other and their baby ooze out their skin.

I cried when Prince William carried the capsule and put their baby in the car. It is such a special moment to take your newborn home.

I cried, because it made me relive the feelings I had almost six months ago when I welcomed my son into the world.

As a new mum, I can relate to how they must be feeling. Excited and keen to start their life as 'a family'. Scared about being responsible for something so precious.

There are many ways I cannot relate to what they are experiencing. It would be difficult to be new parents in the middle of such frenzy and attention. Every thing they do will be commented on, scrutinised and judged.

Here are some of the negative comments I read today.

I have read comments about the way Prince William put the capsule in the car. Critics are saying the baby capsule straps were not done up correctly. How do they know Catherine didn't adjust them from the back seat?

There are comments that Catherine wore a dress with polka dots to emulate Diana's polka dot dress worn when William was presented to the public for the first time. FFS!! Its just a dress with polka dots!!!

I have also seen ridiculous commentary about Catherine's weight loss plan to lose the weight she gained while pregnant. Give her a break!! She had the baby 24 hours ago!!!!

There is also some criticism about how quick they were to leave the hospital. If I had access to a palace, I'd leave the hospital quickly too!!

I have nothing but admiration for Will and Kate. I think they will do a great job.

P.S. I think Catherine looks fucking amazing just 24 hours after giving birth. It made me wonder if I looked just as good after giving birth. Here is a comparison photo. I noticed we both chose a blue outfit. As you can see, I was very quick to lose the baby weight, I was already wearing midriff tops. What you can't see is, under the sheet, I also had my sequined hotpants on.

Ohhhhh wow did I laugh rachie!!! the one and only blog I will ever read. Take care and keep it up.

<3 Tripp (incase you didnt get the name above)

    1. Awwww thanks Tripp! I'm honored I'm the only one :)

  2. LOL - I'm totally with you - they are parents of a new born baby - no matter what their standing in life it - just leave them along and let them get on with whatever they want to do !!!!
Oh I wish we could have seen those sequined hotpants - that would have made a great picture !!! LOL
    Have the best day !

    1. I think the sequined hotpants would've looked like a pork roast covered in glitter. Some things are best left unseen :-)

  3. Yep. Let's let them be. Ha. Like that's going to happen.

    Hotpants. GIGGLE!

    1. Exactly. It will never happen. What a tough way to live. I think I might need to stop wearing hotpants. The chaffing is getting to me.
