A Place to Heal and Love

Lord Daa Doo is on holidays, so we took the opportunity to head north and visit Port Macquarie for a long weekend.

Port Macquarie is a special place to us and has been the backdrop for many momentous occasions. Some good and some heartbreaking.

For the last five years, this is the place where we came to heal. After each miscarriage, we would come up here, get away and heal the wounds.

Lord Daa Doo proposed to me on this beach two years ago.

Last year, we stood on a magnificent cliff and got married overlooking the beautiful ocean.

This year we took our gorgeous son for a walk on our beach. It was a beautiful day. I felt total happiness and peace.

Today I'm linking up for Wordless Wednesday.

  1. Lovely photos - especially like that first one. It's so nice to have a special place, isn't it. Here's hoping all future trips are to celebrate happy occasions.

    1. The family selfie is pretty good. Hubby is so tall and I am very short, so it's lucky we are all in the shot :-)
